You’ve arrived at an exclusive hotel for a weekend of pampering, networking, and five-star fun. But just as the manager begins the welcome speech, they’re suddenly killed in front of the entire room.
The doors are locked. The guests are on edge. The suspects? A suspicious mix of hotel staff and long-term residents, each with secrets they’d rather keep buried.

Your team must dig through the lies, uncover motives, and piece together the truth, because behind the polished smiles and plush interiors, something sinister is going on.
How it works
Hotel of Horror is flexible, it can be played entirely in person, online, or as a hybrid event. However you choose to host it, you’ll get a fully immersive, character-led experience where your guests play detective.
Here’s how the game unfolds:
- Form Teams – Your guests are split into teams (recommended: 4–8 per team). Each team works together to crack the case.
- Meet the Suspects – A few players are assigned character roles, acting out the suspects from the hotel’s staff and guest list.
- Three Rounds of Interrogation – Teams move between suspects (in person or virtually), ask questions, review evidence, and try to spot lies, inconsistencies, and red herrings. The Inspector (your host) guides the action and keeps things on track.
- Vote & Reveal – Each team submits their theory on who committed the murder and why. Then it’s time for the dramatic final reveal, full of shocking twists and dark secrets.
