3. Send players your unique game link
Text, email or post your unique game link.
It contains character information and hints and tips on how to play – so they can get prepared to play the game.
You will be the Host.
The players won't be able to play until you start the game.
4. Play the game
When you're ready to play – give the players access with a secret game code!
You'll play the game together over a few rounds using your phones.
Rounds include a combination of:
- The Script – all the players read through a script together
- Questioning & Evidence – you all go off script and can talk openly about who you think dunnit! There will be prompts to help you get information out of each other
- Voting – where guests vote for who you think the murderer is
The whole game takes about 1-2 hours.
(There's the option to print everything out too – just in case someone's battery dies!)

1. How do your murder mystery games work?
Each game is a digital download you can play directly on your phone or tablet. After purchase, you’ll receive a link with everything you need — character scripts, clues, and instructions. Everyone reads their parts, follows the story, and works together to solve the murder.
2. Do we need to print anything?
No. Our digital murder mystery games are designed for mobile play. Each player simply opens their part on their phone. However, if you'd like to print the script as a backup (just incase someone's phone dies!) – then you can easily do that too.
3. How many players can join?
The Dinner Party Games are written for 6–10 players, but check out the Event Games for large groups.
4. Can we play remotely or on Zoom?
Yes. The games are perfect for virtual murder mystery nights. Each player can join from anywhere and read their lines from their own device while you connect on video chat.
5. Are the games suitable for all ages?
All our murder mysteries are fun and safe for all ages 11+.
6. How long does a game take to play?
Typically 60–90 minutes, depending on the number of players and how quickly your group solves the case – but we'd recommend giving yourself 1-2 hours so you're not rushing through.
7. Can we customise the characters or story?
Yes! That's exactly why we made You Dunnit. You can edit character names, clues, and details to make the game personal — perfect for birthdays, team events, or themed parties.
8. What do I need to play?
