Welcome to Death on the Aisle: a murder mystery like no other, where church bells turn to alarm bells as your guests join forces in teams to solve a shocking crime in the middle of a service. The suspects? A suspicious selection of congregation members and church staff. The goal? Interrogate, investigate, and identify the killer before the final Amen.
What’s the story?
A peaceful Sunday service turns deadly when the vicar drops dead mid-sermon and not from natural causes.
The church doors are locked. The community is in shock. And the killer is still inside.
From gossipy parishioners to secretive clergy members, everyone has something to hide and your job is to uncover the truth. Was it the organist with a grudge? The scheming churchwarden? Or the overzealous parish volunteer with a secret past?
Your teams must navigate lies, alliances, and layers of suspicion in this scandal-filled whodunnit set within a tight-knit (and now terrified) congregation.
How it works
Built for 12–200 guests, Death on the Aisle is flexible, it can be played entirely in person, online, or as a hybrid event.’ where selected players ‘act out’ the key suspects while the rest form detective teams to solve the crime.
Each game is fully hosted and unfolds in three structured rounds, led by an Inspector (played by the party host):
- Team Formation – Guests are split into teams (recommended 4–8 per group). Each team works together to crack the case.
- Meet the Suspects – Actors playing the suspects perform scripted scenes and introduce the mystery.
- Interview & Investigate – Over three rounds, teams move through the venue, interrogating suspects, reviewing evidence, and uncovering secrets.
- Vote & Verdict – Each team submits their theory: who committed the crime and why? Then comes the dramatic final reveal, complete with twists and consequences.
